Protect your lips with an SPF balm after healing. • Avoid certain activities: No swimming pool, sauna, hot bath or intense sport during the first few days so as not to compromise healing. • Caution regarding medications and treatments: Avoid aggressive treatments for the skin around the lips, such as chemical peels or lasers, for at least 4 weeks after the session. • Cold sores: If you are a carrier of the herpes simplex virus, it is recommended that you take an antiviral (such as Zovirax) as instructed by your doctor to prevent an outbreak. Immediately after the procedure, the area may be slightly sensitive and the colour will appear quite intense at first. There may also be some swelling and slight bruising, which usually disappear within 1 to 2 days.
